I found the ELMS web site and this forum when I was a barely pubescent permanently horny teen obsessed by wonmen kissing. By searching for "girls kissing". On freaking altavista!
A lot has happened since then, a million places like this have come and gone, there's google now, and reddit, and whatnot. ELMS has gone and this forum stayed and... I still feel like coming here and browsing the threads, not because there's some groundbreaking content on a specialized interest like it felt 25 years ago, but... Because it's reassuring to know a minuscule corner of a world that used to seem larger and more mysterious than it is, still survives.
It's far too easy now. You're connected to everything, instantly. You never feel that anticipation, that thrill of the chase for some new juicy bits... You never feel like you earned it. And that goes for a lot of hobbies, and for talking to communities over the internet in itself.
I don't really have a point, but... Me and whoever is reading this, we're the old guard. We remember better times.
