So, I decided to use a pic of my wife and my wedding in my sig. Now I don't usually use pics in my sigs on Forums, but it seems quite common here and I thought, "What the heck!" and I think it's somewhat appropriate considering the nature of this site
So I'd like opinions. Is it nice? Weird? I know it's a little unusual in that it's a real pic of my wife and I, but I liked the effect.
So... thoughts? Should I keep it? Toss it? Speak up and let your opinion be heard! I don't take offense easily and I'm always willing to give the benefit of doubt that comments are not intentionally mean-spirited, so feel free to be honest.

Looks like you both wore traditional wedding dresses and veils, rather than one of you dressing as a man. Personally I appreciate that more than one woman in the relationship assuming a "male" role. It shows that two women can love each other without changing who they are or having weird gender-role issues. Stick it to the psychologists!
The image is well within the bounds of taste, decency and sense. I support its use completely.

Ok... I'm confused. You say you appreciate more than one woman assuming the male role, but neither one of us do. Not trying to pick nits here... just trying to understand what you mean by "male role".
We don't have any gender issues here! Just two women sappily in love like a couple of teenagers. After almost 7 years together we still hold hands and do all the sappy stuff that newlyweds do. And I see us still doing it for the rest of our lives! We're one of "those" couples... the ones perpetually "falling" in love.
Kinda makes you sick, don't it?

Thanks for the input!

real life shots just have summit xtra
Really? I was thinking the opposite would be true, that because the trend was toward as you put it, "random lesbian related shots" that mine would be out of place. Interesting take. Thanks for the compliment BTW!

You misunderstand me, madam. I said I'm happy to see neither of you in a "male" role. By that I mean, one of you dressing in a suit and top hat and being the "husband" in the couple. Of course that makes a tremendous assumption which I hope you'll forgive, based entirely on a single photograph of your wedding.
Although couples being sappily in love doesn't make me sick. Just lonely...

Hey pretty, You want opinions right?Keep it Keep it Keep it...The shot is brilliant not only because it contains the significant meanings but also it's natural. To tell you the truth,I seldom see people use their life pictures as the signature in this forum, and of course yours stands unique among all of them..
Wish you and your partner happy forever

But you know some women were born to be identical as females but inside their hearts they are more like males. They normally dress like men, act like men and talk like men.In this sense, in their wedding, of course they would dress like males. This is not the weird gender-role thingy, it's what they really are..dude...
I don't know I am right or not, but it's just my humble opinion towards your reply.
Agree with ya that it's filled with decency and I love it as well

Ok... then this statement by you makes no sense...

Typo perhaps?

Your assumption is in this case correct. My wife and I are co-equal women in our marrage in as far as we treat one another. I call her my wife and she calls me her wife. (though she would say that I'm more feminine than she is, I would disagree) You can see other pics of our wedding here at my website.
As to you being lonely, all I can say is "Love will hit you when you least expect it." I know it's hard when you're alone, believe me! I didn't even get my first kiss until I was 23 years old, so I know lonely. Hang in there! It'll happen... and when it does, it'll make the lonely years worth the wait.
Oh... and one other thing? Call me madam again and we'll have words! Madam is for old ladies and brothel managers! You can call me "your ladyship". (j/k)

Hey, your Worship, we're only trying to help!! (two points if you can guess what movie that line's from )
[On Topic] Nice photo -- I don't see any problem w/ that in your sig, especially if YOU like it. (Don't know if I necessarily want to put a photo at the tail-end of my messages, especially with my current sig )
