Dragon Age Series, miscellaneous

Okay, there are obviously quite a few gamers on these forums, and I prefer to keep threads on-topic, so I figured there's enough interest in the DA games to start a whole new thread.  Maybe when ME3 is starting up I'll start one for that too.

Anywayz.  We can talk about anything and everything about the DA series here.  Don't worry about thread-hijacking here.  Well... you understand my point.  Anywayz.  I'll start with the following.

If you don't know anything about DA2 *AT ALL* and don't even want to know the very, very, very basic intro-to-the-plot topics, don't read what I'm about to say...

But I'm pretty sure everyone knows that DA2 will take place somewhere besides Ferelden.  With a new character.  So...  check out this map:

(I hope that's not too squished...)

So... Where would you guys like, if you were the one given the say-so, the game to take place (only one country):  (I'm including info taken from codices [codexes?] in-game, nothing from the books... which I've read for the record)

Tevinter Imperium is where the mages got stupid and started the first Blight

Rivain is very different apparently, and, as a society, do not believe in the Maker

Free Marches... kinda like tribes/city-states with no central government, so it's more like a region and not a nation...

Nevarra came from a Free March city-state and got aggressive in expansion...

Par Vollen is the home of the qunari, and the Qunari control Seheron (apparently) at the moment..

Antiva is where Zevran is from.  They have whores and don't allow women to fight (which means, since you can be a female Hawke, you PROBABLY aren't in Antiva)

Orlais is the nation we know most about.  I'll just assume you're somewhat familiar with it.

What we know about Hawke?  Human.  Male or Female.  Hero of Kirkwall, a city in Free Marches.  Came to fight in Ferelden during the Blight.  Survived the Battle of Lothering.  And... that's it.

So... let me know.  I'll keep a running tally.  I personally would love Seheron, but I think it'll be Tevinter.  Btw... "elsewhere" is another option.  Who says the game can't be in the Kocari Wilds?

Seheron - 1

Orlais - 2

This is indeed very cool, awesome in fact. I still question the Bioware's decision to bring in a whole new set of characters for the sequel, as in my mind that causes confusion with those interested more in the chemistry of the characters then the battle.

But I suppose they have their reasons, of which I can merely wait expectantly until they reveal their devious master plan wink.gif.

Overall, since it's Bioware and a more gritty sequel (as long as witty and ironic humor is intelligently thrown in periodically) and storyline, I can only assume it will become a masterpiece.

I hope! wink.gif

P.S. Oh yeah, and the fact that they best have better lez scenes that are easier to get to! I never could in the original.

See, *THANK YOU*

I don't understand the lack of faith in BioWare. Btw, you still haven't said where you'd put it, just sayin ;)

And now, a Dragon Age web-series starring, among others, Felicia Day!
